Download PDF Make Enquiry
For the treatment of mixed fluke and nematode or arthropod infestations due to roundworms, lungworms, eyeworms, warbles, mite and lice of cattle, weanlings, calves and suckler cows.
  • Gastrointestinal roundworms
  • Liver Fluke (trematodes)
  • Cattle grubs (parasitic stages)
  • Lice
  • Mange mites

Closamectin Pour-On should be administered topically at a dosage rate 1 mL per 10 kg.

The formulation should be applied along the midline of the back in a narrow strip between the withers and the tail head. The timing for treatment should be based on epidemiological factors and should be customised for each individual farm. A dosing programme should be established by a veterinary professional.

Autumn: Treat at, or just after housing. In areas that suffer severe pasture contamination, or if animals are housed early, a second treatment may be required. For outwintered cattle, the treatment should be given during late autumn and early winter. A second treatment may be required in January/February

Spring into Summer: Treatment 8 to 10 weeks after turnout will kill fluke that are result of metacercariae that are ingested immediately following turnout. This will also help reduce reinfection of pasture be eggs from ongoing fluke infections.

Warning

  • Cattle must not be treated within 28 days of slaughter for human consumption.
  • Not permitted for use in animals producing milk for human consumption, including pregnant animals intended to produce milk for human consumption.
